1Monthly maintenance fee waived if direct deposit occurs with a minimum of $50 at least once per month.
2No monthly maintenance fee for students age 18-25. When age requirement is no longer met, a $6.95 fee will be imposed. You may contact TFCU prior to this occurrence to update your Checking Account preference.
3Bill Pay is offered at no charge provided at least one transaction is processed per month, otherwise a $4.95 fee will be imposed.

Person-To-Person Payments (P2P)

If you’re enrolled in TFCU’s Bill Pay service, you can also pay someone via E-mail, Direct Deposit or Check!
P2P apps are not monitored or provided by Tauton Federal Credit Union and member must agree to the terms & conditions of the app provider they choose. Standard message and data rates may apply. Venmo is a service of PayPal, Inc., and Cash App is a service of Square, Inc.
Instant Issue Debit Card
When you open a new TFCU Checking Account, you’ll receive your new VISA® Debit Card instantly! You can begin accessing the funds in your checking account as soon as you leave our branch. This no-cost benefit is only available when you open one of our Checking Accounts.
There is no charge for an Instant Issue Debit Card when you open a new TFCU checking account. For fees associated with lost, stolen or damaged debit cards, please refer to our Fee Schedule.
Debit Card Round-Up
This program allows you to use your Debit Card to make everyday purchases and have the change rounded up on the transaction to the nearest whole dollar. The difference will automatically transfer from your Checking Account to your Savings Account at the end of each business day! Saving has never been so easy! Ask a representative for more information and enroll today!
Debit Card Roundup transfers are eligible for Debit Card purchases only. Transfers will occur on the same day the transaction is posted to your Checking Account. Once enrolled, transfers will begin to post on the next business day. Purchases made on weekends or holidays will post on the next business day. If on a business day you do not have sufficient available funds in your Checking Account, or if any transaction has overdrawn your Checking Account, TFCU will not round up purchases posted on that business day and will cancel the transfer for that day. If your Debit Card purchase is subsequently cancelled or reversed, the Debit Card Roundup transfer remains in the savings account. Not available on Business Accounts.
Pay for purchases in an easy, secure and private way right from your iPhone wherever you see the Apple PayTM logo! To get started, simply add your TFCU debit card to your Apple PayTM account via your Wallet app. To use Apple PayTM, you will need an iPhone 6 or later. Overdraft Advance is a product offered by Taunton Federal Credit Union to provide overdraft protection on our Member’s Checking Accounts. This product provides members with the comfort and convenience of knowing a draft presented for payment will not be returned. The account remains in good standing if all charges and fees are paid current within 30 days of the overdraft. A qualified member can be enrolled for the product at no cost. This is a “pay as you use” product and no fees are charged until an overdraft occurs.
You may opt out of this product at any time by speaking with a Member Service Representative. If you elect to opt out of the Overdraft Advance Product, future overdrafts will not be covered. Items presented for payment will be returned and the applicable Non-Sufficient Funds charges will be assessed.
Overdraft Advance is a non-contractual discretionary service offered by TFCU that may cover a transaction when sufficient funds are not available up to an established limit. A $30.00 fee will be charged for the payment of each overdraft item. Overdraft Advance covers checks and other preauthorized debits including, if you decide to opt-in, ATM and Debit card transactions. All overdraft balances must be repaid within 30 days of overdrawing the account. Members who are 18 years or older and have had an account in good-standing with TFCU for at least 90 days are eligible to participate in the Overdraft Advance program. Second Chance Checking Accounts are not eligible for Overdraft Advance Program. The payment of overdrafts is discretionary and TFCU reserves the right not to pay overdrafts and to discontinue a member’s participation in the program. Second Chance Checking Account

We can even help you pay off balances owed to your previous financial institution through our Community Development Loan Program!2
After 12 months in good standing, you will be eligible to upgrade to one of our Rewards Checking Accounts. At that time, you’ll be able to take advantage of additional products & services!
