TFCU has been serving the City of Taunton and its surrounding communities for over 75 years. Throughout our journey, we have always placed an emphasis on serving our members & communities in the best and most convenient way possible. We continuously look for ways to provide necessary support to our communities through our Community Giving Program, Dress Down Program & TFCU Street Team. 

Each year, thousands of dollars are distributed throughout local cities and towns as a result of our Community Giving Program, which provides monetary and volunteer support to non-profit organizations located within our field of membership. To ensure that TFCU’s charitable resources are used in a way that best supports the organizations in the communities that we serve, requests must meet the following qualifications:

  • Align with our Priority Funding Areas:
    • Financial Education, Literacy & Wellness - Programs that provide individuals with essential financial knowledge and skills.
    • Economic/Community Development & Revitalization - Improving public spaces and community facilities.  
    • Youth Development - Programs geared towards developing students through education, mentorship and skills development. 
  • Community Giving Request forms must be submitted at least 60 days in advance of the event or deadline.  Please be aware that due to the overwhelming amount of requests that are received, we are not able to accomodate every request. Consideration for all requests will be based on the available funding of the program at the time of submission.  
  • Community Event or Non-Profit Organization must be located within TFCU’s service area/field of membership.
  • Sponsorship requests will require TFCU Brand Recognition.
  • In order to provide support to as many organizations as possible, only one request per organization will be considered during any 12 month period.
  • TFCU will not consider donations to organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation or any other basis prohibited by law.

Community Giving Request

 

We have always done our part in trying to help the community. Our efforts to help the community has grown stronger through the continuing efforts of our Dress Down Program.

Every Friday when you visit a TFCU branch, you’ll notice our staff dressed down in TFCU gear. Our staff dresses down for charity through our Dress Down Program! Staff participate in this program by donating money on a weekly basis in order to dress down.

Funds are then distributed through our Public Relations Committee, which consists of staff from all areas of the credit union. The committee has donated to many charities including the Taunton Animal Shelter, Youth Sports for local schools, Girls Inc., Taunton Area School to Career and many more!

Community Giving Request

The TFCU Street Team are the faces and voices of TFCU both online and off. This group of engaged employees will be seen throughout the communities interacting with our members in order to promote brand awareness and provide information about TFCU and what TFCU offers. You can find TFCU Street Team members at local events, posting on our Social Media pages including Facebook & Instagram, as well as assisting members in all of our branches.
